About Me

Eva Stabenow, MA, MPH, CT

Hi, I’m Eva

An Expert Medical Writer, Editor, and Translator.

I believe that good health starts with good information, and that good information requires carefully considered communication. As an expert in public health, linguistics, and communication, my goal is to empower your target audience to make well-informed health decisions through precise communication that speaks their language – in English, in German, and at all levels of health literacy.

For nearly 30 years, I have written and translated mission-critical B2B and B2C content and copy for some of the world’s leading brands. Along the way, I have developed a strong aptitude for translating complex medical content for patients and consumers as well as healthcare providers and scientists both in print and online. Educated in Germany and the US, I am fully bilingual and bicultural, with a keen awareness for how language and culture drive perception and behavior.

Science, language, and communication have been at the heart of everything I do for as long as I can remember. There is nothing I love nothing more than using the art of language to communicate evidence-based science in a way that empowers people at all levels of health literacy to make sound decisions about health. This passion is what drove me to become a “triple threat” in communication, built on dual graduate degrees in applied linguistics and public health

as well as deep experience in both health coaching and software localization. In everything I do, my goal is to ensure that your audience both understands and responds to your messaging about health and medicine.

I can’t wait to meet you and find out how I can help make your next project into a resounding success.

More Than a Language Expert

When I’m not talking, writing, teaching, or presenting about health, medicine and communication, I love being in nature, baking sourdough bread, roasting coffee, and seeking out fabulous food and wonderful friends all over the world.

Fun fact: I found out the hard way that working at your desk can result in injury. After I checked out corrective Pilates and it helped, I was hooked – I got trained, started teaching, and opened my own studio (check out Sunroom Pilates below!) where I help people like you and me move better, feel better, and live better through the power of healthy movement.
